Exhibition storytelling

Knowing your visitor and how they behave in certain contexts is key to writing an engaging exhibition narrative. Every visitor has certain values and expectations when they enter your exhibition so it’s important that the style and tone of your story meets their needs. And one crucial factor that is often forgotten in exhibition narratives is that they must entertain. Museums and galleries are competing with other leisure institutions for visitors looking for a good day out.

Deborah has written scores of exhibition narratives, some of which have been part of award-winning exhibitions.
